If you have watched a movie called “The Vow”, it has a similar vibe to it; moreover, in the current state, vines of mysteries and suspense is going to crawl over your brain as the story progresses.

Since this manga is relatively new, I will give it a -1 for potential error; however, I have huge optimism for Mayuzuki’s work since she just completed a fantastic manga piece prior to this one.


Art: 10
The time-lapse style of drawing certain scenes and the Hong Kong-ish background/setting make it a magnum opus for this category :) So many details. Love it!

For readers who are impatient or first time reading Mayuzuki’s work, I have to warn that the manga’s story is relatively slow-paced and can be unpredictable. You have be to patient with the storyline. On the other hand, if you have read “Koi wa Ameagari no You ni” and loves that manga, then you shouldn’t be worried. Mayuzuki’s story telling is extremely detailed oriented and you won’t regret your decision by following this manga. But, the only common theme between this and her previous word only overlaps in the "romance" aspect. Other than that, these two works are extremely different from each other.

My god man, my head is all over the place after dropping this manga at the 52nd chapter. I actually was interested in it at first because of the characters and the art (didn’t know Kowloon was once upon a time a city in real life). It was super confusing like it was going back and forth an awful lot that you hardly keep up what the goals for each character were. I wish they just made the both BL couple and main leads just be all main leads tbh. In fact I wouldn’t have minded a bisexual 4some story in this and it MAYBE make the story a little more clearer instead focusing only the main leads in this! I understand this is sci fi but tbh, I wouldn’t even consider this sci fi but more of an all over the shop slice of life snail romance manga. I prefer authors other works to this like I really had high expectations with this work of hers! Yeah just really disappointed, I really really wanted to like it 😤😭
