Anime contenders for my Top 5 Anime of 2025.
Why I do this?
- Because I'm tired of the bullsh*t popularity contest of Crunchyroll's Anime Awards.
Fell Off:
- Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray - much much better than Shangri-La Frontier S2, but the tropes killed it for me.
- Shangri-la Frontier S2 - first-half was average (comparing it to Withermon fight), second-half was a complete flop.

- Easily climbed to Top 2 spot!
- Suicide, two-timing, children abuse, murder, etc - a fucking ignorant tako-alien decided to land here in Earth, without knowing about these problems.
- Nice story and animation, reminds me of Doraemon but with dark twist.
- All of the problem is stemmed of that dumb two-timing monkey, destroying families of his and lives of other people because of "romance"
- Easily climbed to Top 2 spot!

- The writing, the music, and the story are great, even better than most shows from the Winter 2025 (except the animes listed in this list)
- The only aspect I didn't like is naming it Ave Mujica : The Die is Cast. I saw it as a marketing strat to bring other anime-enthusiasts (particularly non-idol fans, people like Gigguk who only watches romcoms and fantasies) to this show. As the current 8.19 score feels too low for this anime. With this level of polish, I expect a 9 point something from this, really. Even better than Dandadan and Kaijuu No.8 when it comes to story and writing.
- Will definitely watch the Ave Mujica and MyGO continuation in the future!

- Pretty mild Episode 01, but there's the maid/Emperor's concubine in it, so it's foreshadowing.
- Starting to pick up the pace starting from EP12.
- Now, Jinshi's little secret is now known to Maomao. But there's more to it...

- And I like how paced it was.
- Rating is 9/10, as I liked the S1 more.

- Gotta be honest with myself here, I was expecting something like Summertime Render before.
- It felt kinda bland.
- The story's ain't hitting my kokoro.
- I didn't expect that I would enjoy Dandadan more than this one to be honest.
- And I'm 2 episodes late currently, watching those feels like a drag.
tl;dr
Probably a fell-off IMO, IDK, can't be sure, but if the story keeps getting bland each episode, might be one of those Fell-Off like Shangri-La Frontier, unlike Uma Musume which was actually good (and they have the same studio!)
