This is a recommandation list for us, trans girlies, looking for relatable stories.

Its a grouping of the manga's I've personally found relatable to my own experiences as a transfem cutie (^w^)
I've been looking for a recommandation list like this on the internet for a while now, but couldn't find any that would satisfy my desires. So I'm making that damn list myself! hehe.

I will include stories that aren't necesseraly exclusively/explicitly trans. Rather, I'll include anything that felt actually relatable to me. Each entry will have a little description to help you find what you're specifically looking for.

P.S, if you have any manga recommandations that you think should be in the stack, please reach out, I'll check them out.
(List in progress, not all entries are complete or finished)
Watashitachi wa Moto Joshi desu
Manga, ? vol, 2022 Me:- Author:9
A comedy and drama gender-bending manga in which the protagonist, a cis girl, is suddently turned into a boy and slowly gets affected by testosterone puberty as she tries to figure herself out and, full on, go through medical transition to femenize (hrt & SRS).

Relatable Aspects :
Protagonist going through male puberty and feeling dysphoria, stress and panick. Trying to pass, coming out and going in depth througj the medical journey of being a binary trans person. This felt higly relatable, even though the manga is still in its infancy. Also, this is the first manga I've read going to such lenght exploring the medical side of transition, which is very interesting and unique.

TLDR; femenizing medical transition, coming out, dysphoria
Ore ga Watashi ni Naru made
Manga, ? vol, 2019 Me:- Author:9
Gender-bending manga where the protagonist becomes a girl in their childhood and slowly learns how to socialise as a one. Our protagonist discovering that they like being a girl and growing up as one.

Relatable Aspects :
Seeing the perspective of someone assigned male at birth trying to live their life, and be percieved, as a woman. Seeing them experience puberty in a relatable way to our own experiences of the beloved second puperty. This is a trans story in every aspect but name.

TLDR; relatable to second puberty and rediscovering yourself (very wholesome)
TW; scene of SA
Hourou Musuko
Manga, 15 vol, 2002 Me:- Author:9
This is the classic trans manga. There is four trans characters, three trans women and a transmac person. We follow our protagonists through a beautifully long coming of age story about self-discovery and self-acceptance.

Relatable Aspects :
We see our protagonist go through their life from childhood to early adulthood. We see her go through puperty, grappling with gender dysphoria, exploring her gender and sexuality, coming to terms with her true self. We get to see her dynamic relationships evolve over time in parallel to her changing body and mind.

Sadly, because this is an old story, terms like trans and transgender are never used. Things like hrt and medical aspects of transition are never mentionned or considered, which is a shame, as they would have been very interesting additions to the story. The manga focusing its exploration of transitions to social aspects (clothing, presentation, name, ect). The manga also dosen't take its transmasc character seriously by the end of the story which is very deplorable.

TLDR; relatable to puberty, gender dysphoria, social backlash, gender exploration and journey of acceptance.
Senpai wa Otokonoko
Manga, ? vol, 2019 Me:- Author:8
This drama and romance story focuses on three main characters of which the protagonist experiences of life are extremely similar to ones trans women go through. This is a sweet, emotional and optimistic story.

To be honest, I haven't read the manga yet, I simply watched the anime... hehe

Relatable Aspects :
Just a bunch of transfem experiences, desires and thoughts

[Unfinished description]
Fukakai na Boku no Subete wo
Manga, 5 vol, 2018 Me:- Author:8
[Coments coming up]
Bokura no Hentai
Manga, 10 vol, 2012 Me:- Author:4
To be frank, I read this manga a long time ago and don't really remember it well. I do remember not liking it, due to the fact I was annoyed all the way through my read because the trans girl (main), who clearly states she is a girl, keeps being missgendered by everyone for the whole manga. Which, kinda pissed me off and made it difficult for me to appreciate the good parts of the story at the time. I do plan on re-reading it eventually.

But I know it is a very relatable story to a lot of transfem readers. The angle being a young trans girl that has known she is a girl since childhood, which is an experience some may relate to a lot. It didn't feel relatable to me though, since I started realising something was wrong about my gender during the middle of puberty and finally came to the conclusion I was trans at 19, close to turning 20.

So this is not a recommand on my part, but it is a recommand from others who've liked it a lot despite its faults.
