Good!! Chaotic and fun, I would like to note that the anime's story is not canon. If you'd like to explore Hypnosis Mic, check out the drama tracks!

One of my favorites! I recommend that anyone who wants to get into idol anime watch this. It's a fun but realistic series that covers the darker parts of the idol industry (but not Oshi no Ko style), lots of family trauma and more.

The movie(s) comes after part 6 of the game story but can be watched alone without having read it. Please note this is not a plot-based movie and acts more as a concert.

(Honorary Mention even though its not idol)
While this series may not be idol, it shares very similar traits and vibes to an idol series! Colorful haired pretty boys, friendship, basically a y/n manager and a lot of chaotic scenes.

A unique concept I haven't seen before that takes place 10 years before the game. The character design for this series is incredible and the music has a interesting feel to it that I haven't heard before in an idol series!

A franchise that takes place in our current world and time! UniteUp is a music project that exists in both the real world and the fictional world, it's seiyuus becoming idols and performing on stage for their fans.
The anime is a great starting point to getting into this project, but only if you want to! It works well as a stand-alone series as well (or at least currently depending on what season 2 will be doing).

Colorful, great music and magical girl transformations?! Similarly to most idol anime, this series covers friendship and working together!

Paradox Live is a music project that originally started on platforms like YouTube, depending on drama tracks and MVs to get it's story across.
This anime strays away from the original source material's plot and is somewhat of a mess but still enjoyable for at least the first few episodes.
Even so, the music that does come from this is great and while I wouldn't recommend it as an entry into Paradox Live as a franchise, it can still be worth a quick watch.

A very slice-of-life styled anime that focuses less on the idol part and more on the characters. Rarely will you see them actually performing or at work, but that doesn't make it any less great. MARGINAL#4 is a comedic and chaotic series that I'd recommend to anybody.
