This doesn't have anything obviously horrible about it aside from its laziness. Clearly, the point was to have the OP be upbeat similar to idol shows like Love Live as a way to disarm the audience, tricking them into thinking the anime isn't a cynical commentary, but nothing about it even tries. It's a bunch of bright colors, nonexistent backgrounds, and characters standing around doing jack shit.

A common pick for good reason. It's an annoying song that's at least self-aware of this fact, though, and some of the animation is actually pretty slick, so I don't think it's the worst opening ever, but still annoying.

Opening 2. Honestly, the song is fine (if ill-fitting), but the CG clown show going on in the background doesn't help its case.

A similar issue to Girlish Number, where it awkwardly tries to be cheerful to hide its darker themes, but the song is actually obnoxious as hell, and I don't think it's trying to be.

This OP isn't as offensive as you might think. I mean, come on, it's an ecchi OVA. Nothing here seems too out of line. But god is it stupid. I hate the way the characters move, and that part near the end where the girl bounces the director's name on her boobs makes me want to die.

Everything looks awful. Everything sounds awful. It's the complete package! The running animation is unholy levels of awkward, and the constant panty shots during the fight scenes is out of pocket. This is just an OVA, so I usually wouldn't care, HOWEVER, it was made by Arms, a studio with a long history of quality production work both on- and off-television, so it's a little surprising to see them sink to Skelter Heaven levels of trash here.

LMFAO WHAT IS THIS SONG CHOICE!?!? No hate to Towa Tei, he's a decent Shibuya-kei producer, but this shit sounds so goofy playing over Bones' lazy paint bucket tool spam ("color design is my passion"), unnecessary sexualization, and stupid dancing. Seriously, why is this hot chick dancing in the middle of the street!? Such a baffling OP.

Cringe. There's no other way to say it. Meta is a tricky thing to do well, and most of the time, including here, it's merely a display of a lack of creativity.

A lame, generic song, visuals of mostly close-up shots of characters' faces, and it shoves a loli's naked body in your face for like 10 seconds. Also, a lot of the animation is TOO FAST. It's nauseating to look at.

This OP is so lazy I actually find it kind of sad. I wouldn't be surprised if they threw it together at the last moment before the show started airing. See, it's mostly still frames as you would expect, but the song choice basically shot itself in the foot. It's something that wouldn't sound out of place in a Kaguya-sama OP -- a high energy gentrified jazz pop tune -- that absolutely does not work here, because nothing fucking happens! Near the climax of the song, the only animation they have to offer is the characters walking side by side, AND IT LOOKS AWFUL!?!? I never imagined something so simple would genuinely be one of the ugliest things I've ever seen in an OP. For a modern anime that aired on TV, this is borderline unacceptable and I would be embarrassed.
