Anime with small, close characters that make up a tightly knitted cast. A group of friends, a small town, a collection of people and their relationships. A sense of camaraderie, a diorama of humans, a fun time to feel close to fun people.

This stack contains a collection of anime that I think best falls into this category over anything else.
Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru
TV, 2010, 12 eps Me:- Author:9
A small town full of interesting characters. The comedy, the small bits of drama, the wondrous presentation, this is the "wholesome anime" that is better than all the other boring stuff people call wholesome.

PS. Read the manga?
Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!
TV, 2016, 10 eps Me:- Author:10
People say it's the comedy that makes Konosuba good, but I think the best part of Konosuba is the amazing dynamic in the cast. The writing does not shy away from showing the flawed personalities of every character, making the cast comes alive in front of your eyes.
Steins;Gate
TV, 2011, 24 eps Me:- Author:10
The first half of the anime establishes a wonderful tight-knit cast, all gathering in this dingy cheap "lab".
Nami yo Kiitekure
TV, 2020, 12 eps Me:- Author:9
On top of the great cast dynamic, the humour is 100% on-point. A massive range of character types from different parts of society, tied together with funny narration.
Fune wo Amu
TV, 2016, 11 eps Me:- Author:8
The writing is a bit juvenile, but the feelings of a team is captured nicely. Doesn't get hung up on "passion" and "dreams", but rather dealing with people and their own goals in life.
Isekai Shokudou
TV, 2017, 12 eps Me:- Author:8
A chilled out, fantasy take on the theme. A wide range of characters from different parts of a fantasy world mingle together. Has a "secret club" feel, along with amazing food art.
Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome
Movie, 2017, 1 ep Me:- Author:8
A journey through the busy streets at night, almost created like a bunch of character studies. The heightened, hyperbolic satire pairs well with portraying people with all sorts of personalities.
Gi(a)rlish Number
TV, 2016, 12 eps Me:- Author:9
The only good "idol anime". The death-game like industry brings out the best and worst of all the small, insignificant people inside the big machine.
Gintama
TV, 2006, 201 eps Me:- Author:6
Many endearing characters with nice "life" moments. The whole town slowly gets painted in with a huge amount of characters, each down-to-earth and well-made.

The first 50 episodes kinda suck though...
