Best protags of Manga, all I can say really.
Berserk
Manga, ? vol, 1989 Me:- Author:9
Guts - Everyone knows the tale of suffering, revenge and acceptance this character has undergone. Top 3 Protagonists in fiction, no doubt in my mind.
One Piece
Manga, ? vol, 1997 Me:- Author:10
Monkey D. Luffy - Goofy and silly as fuck, but cool in the best way. There are NO dull moments when Luffy is on-screen doing literally anything. Speaks for itself.
Slam Dunk
Manga, 31 vol, 1990 Me:- Author:10
Sakuragi Hanamichi - Funny, egotistic, flirty, and proud are the words I'd use to describe him. His transformation from a selfish guy who only plays ball for attention to a passionate player who lives and dies by the court is unbelievable. Slam Dunk as a whole changed my life.
Oyasumi Punpun
Manga, 13 vol, 2007 Me:- Author:10
Punpun Onodera - The epitome of "damaged beyond repair". He goes from an innocent boy just learning about what it is to be human to down right scum by the end is fascinating to look in to by itself on top of the way he changes over the course of the series.
Real
Manga, ? vol, 1999 Me:- Author:9
Tomomi Nomiya - Your past doesn't define you. A guy who made a lot of mistakes who tries his hardest to remedy his faults and better himself as a person. A very inspiring character to watch grow.
Chainsaw Man
Manga, ? vol, 2018 Me:- Author:10
Denji - Just a really fun character to watch do anything. With an interesting backstory on top of his over the top crazy personality, I find him to be incredibly entertaining.
One Punch-Man
Manga, ? vol, 2012 Me:- Author:8
Saitama - His constant struggle of being too strong to a fault is not only hilarious but also shines a light on how when power is used irresponsibly by others it can cause great disarray. Saitama borders on the line between human and monster.
Kokou no Hito
Manga, 17 vol, 2007 Me:- Author:9
Mori Buntarou - Another heavily relatable and incredibly complex character, his struggles of social anxiety, isolationist lifestyle and immense guilt weave a very well crafted protagonist with a lot to psychoanalyse.
Holyland
Manga, 18 vol, 2000 Me:- Author:9
Yuu Kamishiro - Wimp -> Chad is the best way to describe Yuu, his fragile mental health being fortified by his badass fighting skill and his utmost loyalty to those he holds dear to him is truly a sight to be seen.
Gantz
Manga, 37 vol, 2000 Me:- Author:10
Kei Kurono - Relatable character for me, starts off as such a whiny and pessimistic bitch of a guy who learns compassion, love and the true value of human life. Best character arc in manga.
Gachiakuta
Manga, ? vol, 2022 Me:- Author:10
Rudo - Again, relatable as fuuuck... his constant going back on his change, disappointing himself by giving into his anger hits close to home for me. He also has a fucking awesome power.
Choujin X
Manga, ? vol, 2021 Me:- Author:8
Tokio Kurohara - A shy introverted guy who is always overshadowed by his friend gains independence and learns to be free under his own will, a magnificent metamorphosis symbolised by his winged-beast form.
Vinland Saga
Manga, ? vol, 2005 Me:- Author:9
Thorfinn - No enemies. Changed my mind on best character arc after catching up to this series. A violent boy who loses his whole purpose in life and is forced to find a new one finds peace and journeys to a new world. 10/10
