Love, Friendship, and the Supernatural
Anime
A stack for all of the shows that give you *that* feeling. The feeling of watching a group of friends find each other, love each other, lose each other, and experience something unforgettable. What will you do this summer? Who will you love this summer? What will you encounter this summer?
Not every show in this is a romance, but a lot are. These are just shows I've seen that captured *that* feeling. The one you can't find anywhere else.
Ranked in order of my enjoyment!

A beautiful supernatural experience exploring grief and the many forms it comes in. How can one event so thoroughly break us apart, and how can we heal? One of my top 5 anime.

Don't be fooled by the name- A fascinating look into the struggles of growing up and developing insecurity with a supernatural twist. When our deepest insecurities are magically revealed, how can we connect with those who acknowledge them?

A beautiful story about first love, accompanied by some of the best animation I have ever seen in a modern anime. What starts as a standard love polygon romance flips itself on the head about halfway through. The twist in this show is incredible rewarding, and makes all of the character relationships up to that point pay off that much more.
If you're a fan of the sea, and a fan of romance drama, give this one a watch

Something unlike other anime I've seen ~ a supernatural journey about coming to terms with who you are, rediscovering what you love, and then leaving it all behind. What's next for us? Are we ready for it?

A love triangle. An alien. And memories to last forever. A drama romance about a group of high schoolers and the summer they will never forget. A romance drama that somehow keeps you hooked the entire way, and reminds you to just "say how you feel."
Though it plays out how you might expect, it still manages to hit. hard. give this one a watch.

A criminally underrated show about finding yourself, reinventing yourself, and wondering if you should have in the first place. The show explores PTSD, social anxiety, and a supernatural twist that may or may not be real which underscores the whole experience. The 13th (final) episode stuck in my mind for so much longer than I though it ever would. If you like the others on this list, give it a watch

If you were to disapear with just a touch, would you still find friendship? Find love? What would a connection to another person mean to you?

If you're into high school clubs and the romance that comes along with them, kokoro connect has you covered. That said, this romance is fueled by a mysterious entity who manipulates the students in dramatic and often cruel ways. How will he play with the feelings of these students? How will they make it through? Despite some of the narrative issues the show has, it's a good watch if you enjoy some of the other shows on this list.
