This is a very old anime, so the art/animation is not so good, which is where it lost a few points.
The soundtrack fit really well, especially in the action scenes; they build tension and excitement when it is needed (also has a jamming opening and ending).
This is a very adult anime and contains many adult themes (rape, gore, killing, etc.), so I personally loved it, but it may not be for all.
However, the part where it lost points is that is stopped at the best part; the manga continues far further, but the anime suddenly stops, which is a real shame.
Overall, a must-see and on of my favourite anime.
