Ah, Nichijou. What an interesting beast you are. Nichijou translates to english as "My Ordinary Life". However, there is nothing ordinary about this anime. You have talking cats, 10 year old professors, dog bites that make lasers, and everything in between.

Story:
The story of Nichijou is standard. You have three high school girls that go to high school and do wacky things that attract the attention of absolutely no one. It's pretty much a moe comedy, except without the moe and amp up the comedy by about 9058340958 notches. 8/10.

Art:
Nichijou was animated by Kyoto Animation. They've done a HECK of a lot of stuff, but they're most notable works are Clannad, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and K-On. So how do they go from K-On to Nichijou? Well it's simple really. There is no reason. Anyway, the art in Nichijou is stylized. It reminded me of a children's cartoon, how it looked very pastel-ish. It had some awesome "action" scenes (look up Principal Vs. Deer - Nichijou on youtube), and every single frame is filled with imagination and vibrance. 9/10.

Sound:
The OST in this anime is bland. None of the songs stuck out to me, it was all overshadowed by the animation. Besides the two openings, which are some of the greatest things ever. They're ridiculously catchy and fit Nichijou perfectly. 8/10

Character:
Since this is a comedy, there isn't much character development outside of the last two episodes and some sprinkled in the previous ones to that. The characters, from start to finish, are interesting and have their own special quirk that makes them stick out. Mai has to be one of the greatest characters in anime, with Sakamoto not far behind. 7/10

Comedy:
I'm going to tie this in with enjoyment, and I'll be damned if I can find a funnier than this. Every type of humor is in this, so there's not something you won't like. Besides if you're one of the people who like everything straighter than a pencil, in which case you will hate this anime. 10/10.

Final Verdict:
Nichijou is one of the greatest anime of all time. It's funny, it's charming, the art is great, and nothing about it is bad. This is a must see for any fan of comedies or Kyoto Animation. 9/10.
