Anyway's let's get this review going!
Pros: The storyline for this series is absolutely thrilling, and I hated zombie shows before this because they all seemed to just try to get as much gore as possible on the screen for the viewers. Highschool of the Dead (or HOTD) however delves not only into intense action scenes, but goes into the character interactions of how the react to the zombie apocalypse and how they learn to deal with each other. Almost every episode has some sort of new and exciting twist that pushes the character's to their limits. Despite the slight harem style developments, I have found many of the character's reactions to their predicament as well as the situations they wind up in to be quiet plausible. Also the artwork in this show is stellar! Sure, since it wasn't released this year, there certainly are many other shows that would pass it up in the graphics department like Psycho Pass and Muv luv Alternative: Total Eclipse, but they are still fantastic in my opinion!
Cons: Yeah, this is the part we all dreaded. Now don't get me wrong, girls with large bust sizes are just as appealing to me as any other heterosexual male... But this show kind of took the fan service to extreme. From the bath scene to the constant breast jiggling that defies the laws of physics, theres just no need for so much in any show (especially one that is so epic anyways!) Also, there were a number of times that some of the guns were misnamed, but that's not too bad.
Overall, this is one of the best anime series that I have ever seen and I would suggest it to anyone who is down for some epic storyline and zombie killing action!
