This is fight club in a grocery store. That pretty much sums it up. Surprisingly there is a decent story weaved through the violence. The fighting is done with a code of honor and there is a system with rules in place. The drab life of a fundless boarding school kid being filled with such an intense purpose is surprising fulfilling. I expected senseless violence and that is not what this story is about.
There are a couple of really colorful supporting characters in this story. The main character is a bit depressing at first, but he comes to life as he learns that fighting for discounted lunches makes him appreciate the little things. He forms some strong bonds, and goes from sheep to wolf in a den of wolves.
Great story, worth watching every episode. There are some surprises and I found it overall a fulfilling yet short series. Don't skip this one.
