The art is incredibly clean, and, while it can look a bit simple or amateur, especially the casual facial expressions, it shines and has great moments. There is also a noticeable amount of understanding towards body language and facial expressions. They're breathtaking, really.
The characters are some of my favorites. They're the quirky characters you see in the mainstream, pop manga, without being overbearing, if you get my drift. They are incredibly charming and funny, while containing a sense of reality that this manga uses thoroughly.
Enjoyment... oh god. This was a manga that I read during one of my sleepless nights. I was reading random yaoi, and had already turned away from two or three of the ones that are so darn graphic and obscene I feel dirty just looking at them. At one point, while reading one page that had me particularly annoyed at how detached the two men were, I stopped reading and had a good sit down with myself. Thinking about stories like Seven Day, and even the less conservative, Sex Pistols, I thought, 'Why are there so few mangaka that realize how sexy love is?'. Love is sexy. And this manga was very sexy.
Its 'yaoi' scenes could barely be called that, and the relationship was so goddamned realistic and adorable and tense and painful and LOVING, that I just couldn't stand it it was so amazing. I was giving Shima a pep talk, telling him what to do and how he should feel. I was comforting the damn thing. I loved this manga, and it made me absolutely insatiable.
The story is common, but well done. The art is clean, and has some incredible moments. The characters are lovable, and real. The enjoyment I had is priceless, and I'd recommend this manga to anyone, yaoi lover or no. It's a breath of fresh air, and one the sexiest mangas I'll lay eyes on.
