This is possibly the best anime I've ever seen. This show started out as a popular webcomic and, in the style of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, grew in popularity to release graphic novels, CDs, and finally an anime. Let's hope that like Zetsubou it receives many sequels. Because frankly the writers know what sort of comedy the viewers (or readers?) want and they definitely provide it.

STORY: I found the show to be a mix of Arakawa and Zetsubou. And, like both of them, absolutely ROTFL hilarious while being insane at the same time. The show advertises itself as being "realistic." I don't know how true that is, but it is certainly at least more realistic than most slice of life anime. The show starts out funny and rarely stops. You will walk away from this show wanting more. I tried reading the manga, btw, and found the anime infinitely more enjoyable. Why? Well...

SOUND: I think the sound really makes this show. While other equally funny shows such as Polar Bear Cafe employ extremely well known voice actors, this show uses experienced but more cult voice actors. And they are fantastic. Not only can you really hear the characters being developed, but you can just tell how much fun they're having playing the characters. "Jack" was probably my favorite character, but I also loved when they would freak out and just yell "Imouto!" whenever Tadakuni's little sister appeared.
Also, I usually fast forward through OP and EDs, but the OP is catchy and the ED just fun to watch. It is one big WTF moment.

ART: This is where the show falls short. I don't mind. I mean, it's a simple show there for the laughs not the art. And, again like Zetsubou, relies on the content more than the prettiness to garner fans. I think that's awesome. But there's another comedy I've seen recently (Level E, in case you were wondering) that really stepped up the art from the manga and it definitely improved the show and story for me.

CHARACTER: I think I covered this pretty well under "Sound," but let's review: The characters are great. Tadakuni is the straight man... sort of. All three of them have their moments being the straight man or fall guy while relying on the others to provide the jokes that manage to be juvenile and mature at the same time. The characters really have personality. If you tried to fit them into certain tropes you'd have a hard time of it because they're not specifically any character types, much like realistic teenage boys.

ENJOYMENT: So much luls. I think I'll go watch it and lol again right now.
