Pinto is a Tokyo Ghoul OVA about the character known as: 'The Gourmet'. It's about how he met a human girl who he befriended instead of ate. Since the gourmet appears a lot in the first season you can watch this after the first season of Tokyo Ghoul but watching it after the second season makes just as much sense.
Honestly with the story being about the gourmet, arguably one of the most messed up characters in Tokyo Ghoul, I didn't have high hopes for the OVA. Yet while the story wasn't amazing, it also wasn't bad and I do think it's nice that you can see how the gourmet's character naturally evolved from how he acted in the past. The story itself isn't too impressive but the dialogue between the two characters can be amusing.
The characters were acceptable. The gourmet wasn't as crazy as we've seen him in the main anime and he frequently gets shut down by the girl's silly behaviour. I kind of wish she was with him in the main anime because she's able to provide some kind of counterweight.
The animation, voice acting and music are comparable or the same as the main anime.
Overall this can be worth watching if you like tokyo ghoul and would like to know more about the gourmet. The story is a bit disturbing but such is tokyo ghoul.
