The art, music, and animation are great in this film just like all the other Ghibli films I've seen; but where the film really shines is the characters with their fun designs and character development, especially with Porco Rosso. All the characters are fun in their own ways, and it was thanks to them I laughed out loud several times throughout the film. I just had a great time with the film, and although I'm not too into manga the film has got me interested in possibly reading the manga it is based off of.
Really if I was to critique anything, it is just that there is one scene in the last act that kinda feels out of nowhere to give backstory and feels a bit surreal compared to the rest of the films setting, but I assume it had to be dropped in somewhere to give a more fulfilling ending (if you've seen the film you probably know what I am referring to)
