one word to describe this anime is cool,plain and simple,an awesome piece of work.now firstly what makes anime great is the characters;yes animation and plot is important too, but its the charcters that leave us with memorable moments.Hellsing has argualy one of the best main character in anime called alucard.He is very creepy and sinester with a cocky attitude,very much an anti-hero.He speakes very intelligently and has a strong air of mistique.Alucard is the top agent for the Hellsing organization,an institute with the duty of destroying vampires

.One day on assignment he is force to turn a female officer into a vampire in order to save her life,the two of them then starts a partnership to kill vampire scum.I love how gory and bloody this anime is,the action is awesome and the vampires are more traditional in that they are merciless and cruel,not like that twilight crap.Although the anime is about killing vampires you never get bored because theres always a story and strong sense of purpose behind every mission so it doesnt feel repetitive and boring.The animation is great,very detailed and the dark colours really goes well with the mood of the anime.The music is great very edgy and dark and the characters will keep you watching.The one drawback was the rushed ending which was quite inconclusive.Hellsing isnt for everyone but if you love action blood and gore give it a watch.You wont be dissapointed.
