7.0/10
As a manga that was meant to be a filler read in between my time of catching up on all of my manwhas, I expected near to nothing from this manga, however, it pleasantly surprised me with resounding and memorable/likable characters despite there being some cliche plot points and developments; however, it pains me to say this, but the once enjoyable and obsessive-worthy manga has lost its plot.
To elaborate on the manga’s plot, it’s relatively basic in nature and nothing out of the ordinary happens, however, the storytelling/development of each plot point was done in an emotional and slow-paced manner that each chapter was enjoyable despite all of the cliches.
With that being said, after the manga reached its “resolution,” once the main conflict was solved, the preceding chapters were too similar to the initial chapters, as if the manga was just going in cycles. This causes boredom to arise, and the chapters felt more so of filler chapters instead of actual introductions of new plot points that will prolong a story’s publication.
The characters aren’t the most creative and rational, however, they still have a small bit of charm from their interactions with one another. Besides for the main cast though, there’s just too many disposable villains the manga employs to create false development, further causing the manga to be stagnant.
A once emotional, tear-jerking manga has prolonged its stay, and it turned into nothing but an aimless manga that no longer has interesting characters or a unique plot line to cause it to be as remotely enjoyable as its former self.
