The plot is that Eldians - stand ins for Jews - live in ghettos and are regularly abused by the Marlians because their ancestors had enslaved them. So basically, the Eldians (Jews) brought the discrimination on themselves through their actions.
Except that there is a secret family of Eldians (Jews) that is actually controlling the Marlian empire. But they don't do anything to stop Marley from attacking a free population of Eldians, because they feel that Marley has a right to kill all Eldians, to atone for what their ancestors did.
And when a faction of free Eldians caries out sneak attack as Marley was about to declare war on them, it is portrayed as revenge - mindless tit-for-tat violence - and not an attempt to defend themselves from a vastly more powerful country that hated them and wanted to wipe them off the face of the earth.
This is some of the worst antisemitic garbage I have ever watched.
