This is yet another cookie cutter harem manga that employs all of the necessary and “right” plot devices that make up an entertaining and engaging manga, however, it adds a “spin” or twist onto the usual, trying to take its own direction and originality, but its not done well, causing it to be less than the top echelon of harem manga but better than the average.

To say the least, the plot is rather silly and unoriginal — Mc helps females, each female secretly likes the mc, and there’s this secret/whole “mystery” surrounding one of the four females. It’s a rather basic concept, but it does make a harem manga entertaining to read due to the small suspense, hints, and etc. that the author provides; this is early to say, but the manga doesn’t really have a good plot point that sets up the drama, making a rather unfulfilling mystery in the plotline.

The characters are the saving grace of any manga, which this is one of the things this manga does do right — the characters are rather distinct, cliche but distinct, and aren’t introduced in a horrible manner. Don’t get me wrong, they all have quirks and kin’s that are nothing but an eye-roll, however, there’s not that much to hate about them besides for trying to be a harem hater and nitpicking every detail.

Speaking of detail, there’s this whole plot device about how the mc is supposedly curse and scary because of his look, however, his face looks like the typical shounen manga protagonist with a small scar across his nose — the illustration really did this plot device dirty, as it’s not a bad plot device, but the severity of it is blown out of proportion; if the mc had a huge first degree burn across his face, then the manga would be much more immersive and interesting, but it doesn’t do that. Besides for that though, the art is rather pleasant and crisp.

There’s some minor kinks this harem manga doesn’t do correctly, but on the scale of a harem manga it’s readable and still enjoyable no matter how baffling the plot unrolls and progresses.
