I reread this manga in its entirety to get a fresher opinionated review; I knew this manga was an absolute sh*tshow, but I did not realize how bad it actually was. Yet, all of its faults makes this manga strangely enjoyable and addicting — I can’t stop scrolling and out this trash down.
The characters in this manga can only be described as poorly written. At one moment, they have defined personalities, extreme be it, but on the whim of the author’s fingers, they have a compete 180 in thoughts and personality. It also does not help that they undergo the dreadful process of “plot convenience” to create “development” or change in their poorly established character.
The plot is also extremely, extremely sudden and inconsistent. At one moment, there could be the most heartfelt, wholesome panel or scene, yet, the author seems obliged to include something psychological or dark immediately afterwards, ruining the mood previously established. Also, the plot makes absolutely zero sense due to the author reforming characters to fit into the plot, which is absolutely idiotic.
Strangely enough though, the manga had no boring moment, since every scene was a “wtf just happened” kind of reaction. This manga has reached the point of “it’s so bad that it’s good,” which is a hard, hard feat for a romcom or whatever mess this genre is.
I’m intrigued on how worse it could get, since the author is just one-upping himself each chapter with his terrible writing — in a good way. If you want a fundamentally sound, wholesome romcom, you better run and never look back at this trash, but if you find entertainment in trash, then this might please you.
(Got to 10.2 chapters, and it got even more brain-dead and worse. I’m a masochist when it comes to mangas, but this is my limit…)
