I had not heard of this anime until I happen to see a comment on a Youtube video mentioning that it was receiving a new season after over a decade. Many anime, specifically romance anime this old can sometimes feel dated, but Kimi ni Todoke is absolutely timeless and tells a beautiful and emotional story. It's not unusual for an anime to tell much their stories through a character's inner monologue but the way it's handled in this anime feel somewhat unique, intimate and very sweet. Also impressive is the fact that despite having a decent number of episodes for a romance anime it doesn't feel like it drags on. On the contrary this anime is very immersive and episodes seem fly by, which is how you know this is something special.

If you're interested in romance anime I would highly recommend this and I would consider it among the best of the genre.
