Very rarely can I give an anime an across the board 10/10 rating. Cowboy Bebop is deserving of such high regard. Followin Spike Spiegel and his crew of bounty hunters about the Cowboy Bebop in a futuristic setting, this anime has a unique feel. It is a mix of the wonder of science fiction, the mystery of classic anime, and that bit of adventure found in many American shows. Yoko Kanno's composition for the soundtrack includes majorly jazz style music, a style not commonly found in anime. Though each episode is its own story, the underlying arc that links it all together leaves the watcher longing to see more. The unexpected ending gives a feeling of completion but still leaves that sliver of a possibility for the story to continue.
Cowboy Bebop is very similar to the American Scifi show Firefly and it quite likely a source of inspiration for it. Watching Cowboy Bebop is a blast. At times it will put you at the edge of your seat in anticipation and at other points falling to the floor in laughter. Definately a classic masterpiece.
