The premis for Oujisama no Kanojo was intriguing, prompting me to take the time to read it. I found the story to be well played-out but at the same time incomplete. It ends rather abruptly with too many ends lefts untied. If you are looking for an extensive complete story then I do not reccomend this manga but if you are alright with an unfinished story then I believe you would enjoy it. The dialogue is fairly believable and the characters are likable. Don't have high expectations but don't completely disregaurd it. :)

When I first read the premise of Kyuukyoku Venus I did not have high hopes. I expected another love triangle high school story with a girl who cries too much and a boy who practically stalks her in order to 'protect' her. I was taken by surprise when I actually read this manga and found that my assumptions were false.

The main character, Yuzu, is a strong female lead who is very likable. She does not wallow in misery over confusion of her emotions. The plot focuses very much on how Yuzu deals with being set up with three fiancés whom she must choose between. ...

It is a beautiful mix of comedy, drama, and romance which any shoujo reader is bound to enjoy. The art is not outstanding and breath-taking but it is still very good in terms of proportions, panel arrangement, continuity, and character expressions. As for the characters themselves, they are all very lovable, each in their own way. Though the story is not completely original it is still very enjoyable even in the cliché moments. Overall I would give this manga a 9 and I highly recommend it.

Ouran Highschool Host Club is, in the plainest sense, a parody of all the highschool shoujo anime that try to take themselves seriously. Each of the characters is a cirtain stereotype save Haruhi, the serious character who points out how rediculous everything happening around her is. The events are predicable and the ending is about what one would expect from a shoujo anime. Basically, if you try to take Ouran Highschool Host Club seriously, YOU ARE MISSING THE POINT. :) It's a comedy parody and it is constantly making fun of itself and other highschool anime. I highly reccomend this anime as a comedy that ... will having you rolling on the floor laughing.

Black Bird is a manga that on first sight is exciting and holds a lot of potential. The mysterious girl who can see things that no one else can see and is awaiting the return of her childhood friend, the only person she ever met who could see these "things" as well. I have to admit that the premis grabbed my attention right away. However, the male lead Kyo was less than a gentleman and the entire way through seemed to only be after one thing, that being to seduce Misao. Although intially she backs away from him and tells him off, eventually she decides ... that she loves him and must rely on him in all things. Black Bird premotes an unhealthy relationship between a girl and boy in which the man is a stalker and a pervert and yet the girl somehow loves him despite his distaisteful qualities.

If you like violence, sexual tension, and seductive deamon stalkers, then you would enjoy Black Bird. If you like honorable, intelligant characters and a less bloody and smuttish story, then Black Bird is definately not the manga for you.

Very rarely can I give an anime an across the board 10/10 rating. Cowboy Bebop is deserving of such high regard. Followin Spike Spiegel and his crew of bounty hunters about the Cowboy Bebop in a futuristic setting, this anime has a unique feel. It is a mix of the wonder of science fiction, the mystery of classic anime, and that bit of adventure found in many American shows. Yoko Kanno's composition for the soundtrack includes majorly jazz style music, a style not commonly found in anime. Though each episode is its own story, the underlying arc that links it all together leaves the watcher ... longing to see more. The unexpected ending gives a feeling of completion but still leaves that sliver of a possibility for the story to continue.

Cowboy Bebop is very similar to the American Scifi show Firefly and it quite likely a source of inspiration for it. Watching Cowboy Bebop is a blast. At times it will put you at the edge of your seat in anticipation and at other points falling to the floor in laughter. Definately a classic masterpiece.

Something I appriciated about this manga is that is is not like every other shoujo romance manga out there. The girl was not a tom boy and did not have an attitude or a firey temper. The boy was not a pervert and doesn't have a dark side to him. I appriciated finding a story in which I could relate to the female lead as well as respect the male lead.

The characters are really what make this manga worth reading. Though the plot is somewhat predicable it is still enjoyable. Reading Boku kara Kimi ga Kienai you might not find yourself at the edge ... of your seat dying to know what happens next, but you will find yourself enjoying the more gentle-paced story of a girl in love with her sensei and the drama that ensues with the series of misunderstanding and unfortunate events.
