I will start off with what I liked about the anime, which I generally liked overall and had a couple small issues with. The best part of the anime by far is the characters, I believe most would agree with me about that but idk. So many great characters in the show and great character arcs as well. I think the overall message of the show is something along the lines of people are generally good, or born good, it is a very optimistic take on people in general and you can see that demonstrated through the character arcs such as **SLIGHT ARC SPOILERS**||Eva and the rat lookin' dude.|| You can see this very clearly with the main character Dr. Tenma, who is not perfect but damn close in my opinion. The voice acting done in this anime was great too.
Now to talk a little bit about the plot which I'm just a little mixed on for one main reason, which is I just think that it's just a little bit too long, things move very slow and sometimes it feels like it screeches to a complete stop, while not too bad, it could've been better. I think having Johan be a little more present throughout the show would've helped it a lot, I ain't no writer or anything but it surely would've had me a little more hooked in. Generally I do like the plot a lot. One little small nitpick however is the climax which I will go into detail about now. **SPOILERS** ||I find it very hard to a believe a whole town would go insane over a few guns and a tiny bit of convincing from some random dudes, I know it's supposed to parallel with kinderheim 511 but I cannot suspend my disbelief that much, kinderheim made sense since they were children. Everything in the show is very grounded and I feel like could really happen, but this part is just a little out there. But that being said the town going crazy is still cool and overall I enjoyed the climax a ton.||
Overall I very much enjoyed this anime and recommend it if you can handle a bit slower progression than most anime. It is unlike most anime you'll see where everything feels very grounded and not exaggerated, like it could be a very good live action. Anyways watch it!
