wow!! thats the fealing I got after finishing this anime.I also felt bad that the fun had to end,thats how great this anime is.It takes a simple concept of a bullied,wimpy guy who tries his hand at boxing to gain physical strength but also gain strength of character and life lessons.Ippo is a humble teen who spends most of his days at school or helping his mom with their boat business.One day while recieving his daily butt-wooping from bullies he encounters someone who will change his life forever.
Firstly the characters are some of the best in anime,their funny,weird and act realistic like ordinary people not strange or cutsy like the animes of today.the action is great some of the best you'll see anywhere.the music is great, not just the opening themes but the music that that plays when a fight starts.theres plenty of plot with love, humour and drama.For an anime so long it never gets boring.A true classic and a must see.
