I had no idea what I was getting into before I decided to watch Doukyuusei, might even say that I had no expectations whatsoever. The art style was terrible and the characters all looked bland and boring but what waited for me was a simple story of love that I fell in love with. Everything was very simple in this movie, simple gestures, small absolutely normal moments, just your average day to day life, and yet, something about it was so so special. The way the two of them understood each other and ultimately were there for one another made this into the masterpiece it is. This anime was so close to reality that you could almost feel like you are there watching young love unfold with your very own eyes. If you have lost your faith in love and the world in general, I recommend you to watch this, because if nothing else, you'd at least know it's not all lost,
