I’ve never written a review in here, and Golden Time isn’t my favorite anime of all time, and I don’t think it’s even on my top 10, but I don’t know why, I really need to write a review about it, maybe it’s the fact that I almost dropped it several times, or that I really didn’t understand all the fuzz about it even after watching half of it, but if you’re reading this, and you don’t know if you want to give Golden Time a chance, please listen to me, give this anime a chance, but as I said, you need to watch all 24 episodes before even thinking about dropping it, I say this because this is the 24 episode anime that took me the longest time to finish, I watched it in a span of two months and a half or more, almost three months, and although I don’t regret it, after I watched the final 5 minutes or so, I finally understood why this anime is what it is, I watched 2 or 3 episodes the day I started to watch it, 6 or 5 the next day, and I almost dropped it there, but one week or two later I watched 2 episodes, then, another week went by and I only watched 12 episodes by then, and I tend to watch 24 episodes anime in two-four days, so you can see I was having trouble getting to watch this anime, and I don’t even comprehend what happened to me, what kept me watching it, I truly can’t say what kept me there, but a month or so went by and I watched episodes 13 to 17 in a day, and finally the story and characters began to connect with me.
I finally finished it the day after that, watching the last episodes took me back to what I was used to, which was watching 8 or more episodes in a day; as I said, I don’t understand what kept me watching in the beginning, idk if it was curiosity about all the fuzz around the anime, or because it was in my Plan to Watch list for so long, idk what kept me going, but I’m glad I kept going, even tho I didn’t liked the characters at first, or that I didn’t liked the designs or even the story in the first place, but even tho I don’t understand any of that, I am glad something deep inside me kept me watching it, because in the final episodes, the story keeps getting more and more connected, and you keep liking and loving the characters more and more, and you keep getting more and more involved in the story; even tho you doubt it by the 23rd episode, the 24th episode closes the story and delivers one of the most rewarding endings I’ve seen, and I know I’ve said this a lot and repeated a lot of things in this review, but I’m truly happy that something, even tho idk what, kept me watching this anime.
And that’s why I think you need to watch the whole 24 episodes before you form an opinion around this anime…
