There’s a lot I like and dislike about Cowboy Bebop. The characters are all fun and likeable. Ed was a little too “lol so random XD” in the beginning for me, but I warmed up to her. The world, as well as the fusion between the retro and futuristic technology was inspired. Unfortunately, that's about all I liked. One of the series biggest flaws it the overarching story. I didn't think it was very interesting. It was best when it was about four likeable characters and worst when it had to go back to the overarching plot (not a controversial stance, I’ve heard). Also, the show could be cryptic at times, with the character spouting dialogue that sounds deep but means nothing upon examination. It’s not a bad show, in fact it’s very good, but I expected more from what is considered the best anime ever made.
