Mixed Feelings
It took them 9 episodes to work out that the ghost can interact with physical objects... would have been an easy way of proving her existence. Man these kids would suck at phasmophobia.

Judging by cold temps, ghost writing, she was probably a revenant or shade. No wonder why she was so bloody fast.

In all seriousness, I think of this anime as one that has aged pretty well. The art and animation still holds up, and the soundtrack is outstanding. Voice acting was well done as well.

The story isn't very strong, as there are a few aspects of the plot that can be solved through general logic. Not that the story doesn't work, but it just makes the characters appear braindead at times. The plotline with the mom of the ghost doesn't see a resolution, and with a central theme being grief and bereavement, I would have liked to see that plotline explored further, even if we only saw a little bit of the ghost's little brother and parents at the end. The love squares were ostensibly distracting, but served a main purpose in the final episodes, which was an unexpected payoff. Overall, while the story isn't fantastic to viewers who like to think about what is going on, it still introduces themes of overcoming grief and childhood traumas that resonate strongly.

The characters each have likeable traits, but I was disappointed to see how little about them is revealed until the final episode. It made some parts of the character structure fall flat, and also made the story appear rushed.

I still enjoyed the anime overall, but it was carried heavily by the art, soundtrack, and voice acting. In conclusion, these kids would seriously be terrible at phasmo.
