This movie marks the end of the series Violet Evergarden. A tragic story about a young woman brought into the military, trained to become an emotionless killing machine on the battlefield and eventually became an employee of a letter-writing company. Throughout her time as an employee, she had written many letters and sought out the meaning of the few words a person she loved left behind. Along the way, she learned empathy and made a lot of new friends, affiliates, and people who cared for her.

The best series I've ever watched in my entire life and the first anime I reviewed on MAL. Despite the "good anime never gets an actual ending" rule, I waited. And now here we are.

This movie surpassed my expectations in many ways I couldn't imagine. Remember episode 10? Imagine that but 2 hours. Maybe even better. If I were to describe the art, sound, character, story and other things then this review would probably be longer than a PhD thesis, so I won't. But it's all a masterpiece and that many words aren't necessary. So with that said, the only thing I could possibly say now would be, "Thank you. Thank you for everything."

Again, truly, thank you for everything. Kyotoanimation. Violet Evergarden. From the beginning to the end and from the bottom of my heart, these special feelings I am feeling right now was from you and I'm more than happy to be able to feel such emotions. I'll be continuing on my journey, watching more anime and hopefully find something that may be as good or even better than this. Agent_Redacted, a casual anime watcher and a person who reviews what he watches sometimes for fun will now take his leave. Until next time.
