Spoiler
MAJOR SPOILER AHEAD.
This is by the way no normal comment on an anime. These are my thoughts which I wrote down during I watched the anime.

Well...I think the story is very interesting.
This anime deals with love. Especially love which shouldn't be felt if compared to general norms.
In this occasion we are facing a 17 year old school girl doing a part time job. She loves her 45 year old manager.
I think the setting is perfect if one wants to convey a message.
Although if the anime doesn't focus on a message and rather develops the story into a romantic disaster between a 17 year old and 45 year old manager this will be bad.
This anime deals with the issue of one falling in love but not having the opportunity to live out this love.
The issues and problems our main character is facing in her daily life because of that love are very interesting to watch.

Btw. Kase Ryousuke is a perfect character to develop and lead the story into something great.
He shows what other people think of this "weird" relationship and pushes the main character to think about her feelings. The response of the main character will hopefully have a great message and tell all of us that there is no problem with loving someone older than yourself. The age difference here is a bit exaggerated tough.
I hope the main character will come to realization and stop loving him because she only loves him since he was there for her when she was down. It seems like a reasonable cause but I think this is not love yet.

Ep.4 was insanely good. Could have been one of the best anime episodes I have ever seen.
It portrays how other people see their relationship and even how Kondo sees the relationship.
This is heartbreaking one thinks about the fact that they could have been a couple if he was younger.
So sad indeed.
I love it when they are together but I am not quite sure how this will develop.

Ep.9 was insanely good. One of the best episodes I've ever seen.
I also like the opening and the ending.
This story could go into a completely different direction than I thought and I love it.

The author of this story actually knows about things like Victor Hugo and the communication..incredible.
The OST is also very great.

The anime did a great job on its metaphors but failed in fulfilling what they premised.
I liked the ending with them both finding their true self and their future - the promise they gave themselves one day but had forgotten.
After the rain -> because the rain symbolizes the time in which they don't know what to with their life.

Although the anime had good metaphors and very nice deep thought moments, the ending was still not that good.
They started off with Akira falling in love with her manager, but they just ignored it after ep.8 completely.
Why bother creating this relationship when you don't care about developing it afterwards?
Don't get me wrong, I didn't want them to end up with one and another in the end but they should have at least tried to end the relationship in some way.
Akira was head over heels for him and then suddenly she accepts that they are only "friends"...?
That was just nonsense.
This showed me that the author doesn't understand how it feels to love somebody. Akira would have never accepted that, at least not instantly.

But in general I liked the anime.
Although I think the ending was messed up, it still had great episodes and great characters.
Definitely recommendable, but the romance tag could be left out.
