Maybe I'm going a little overboard having given this anime 10s across the board; however, I find it blasphemous that more people don't talk about how good this anime is. When I say this, do consider I am in no way a reviewer, but rather an avid yet casual viewer of anime; this is one of the best anime series I have ever watched.
When it comes to story, I have a hard time trying to put the right words together to describe how good an animes story is, however this one was really good.
The animation in Dr. Stone is the first thing that caught my eye when watching the trailer. It actually is one of the main reasons I'm even making a review. The animation and visuals looked so refined and beautiful I couldn't believe how little I'd heard of them. The contrast is just perfect (hyperbole) and honestly it is very visually pleasing.
The OST has a few songs that you wouldn't think would belong in an anime about rebuilding society in such a primative manner, but I felt as if they belonged where they were. I would also like to take a moment to appreciate how good the voice acting was from all the cast - this is the first anime that has brought my attention to the voice acting multiple times.
All the characters are good IMO. First time I've liked every character for a particular feature of their personality.
I thoroughly enjoyed everything about Dr. Stone. I feel as if people are determined to find anything wrong with an anime, instead of enjoying the experience; I say this because (another first incoming) this is the first time I have been fasinated by the progression in an anime, most likely due to the fact Dr. Stone is (probably) the closest an anime can get to depicting the real world (with the exeption of Slice of Life animes) minus the petrification and Senkuu's abnormally high IQ for his age.
In conclusion, Dr. Stone is an amazing anime that really shouldn't be the subject of nit-picking and extreme analysis of satirical elements. This can be applied to several animes but I think it fits this anime best.
