Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (41/? chp)
The sage manga, referring to it like that because I am absolutely not typing out Shikkakumon no Saikyou Kenja: Sekai Saikyou no Kenja ga Sarani Tsuyokunaru Tame ni Tensei Shimashita more than once, is very... mediocre. If I had a noise that described it, it would be akin to a "myyeheeh?", because this- like a lot of modern anime and especially isekais- seems to lack actual meat on its bones. It's vaguely enjoyable in a sort of witch your brain off kind of way, but if you actually look at it critically it's about as deep as a puddle. The story hovers around about a 4 because it tries nothing new and relies on methods that have existed for years to advance its very mediocre plot. The art is ok? nothing really stands out about it for good or for bad, so it's like a 6. Characters are extremely predictable and incredibly boring, their interactions all feel very hollow and surface level and they're all established isekai trope characters anyway so who cares- about a 3. The manga CAN be enjoyable if you just turn off your brain and want some mindless entertainment but don't try to actually analyze it because you'll be surprised by how shallow it really is. 6.

Overall, sits at a fat 5. If you have anything at all even slightly better, read that instead. This manga is just too "meh" for me to actually recommend, but if you want some quick tropey enjoyment- be my guest, this manga is too "meh" for me to dissuade you.

On a side note, this thing has an anime scheduled. I've said this multiple times before and will say it again, for every time generic isekai anime 245 gets an animated adaptation, a child in Africa dies of cholera. please stop making them.
