I do not write much reviews for anime, unless it stood out among others. So many words can be used to describe what is called Now and Then, Here and There, but can words really describe it? Well I thought not, but I will try my best to use words to write this review.

If you, or whoever might read this, is in a hard position or in a bind that involves losing hope for anime and if it has lost its peak or even losing hope in general for the future, stop there. Right now. What one could call this particular anime might be a piece of art, or just anime, plain and simple as that, but nevertheless, it is something that reaches you over time, something that lingers in the back of your mind long after you watch it. Oh yes, it is something that might inspire you or rid you from your agony, if any, or your sorrows. I will not be giving away the plot of this one, neither will I explain the depth of the characters or the setting or the world building or music. What I will explain though- most importantly- is the message represented throughout it.

The main message in this anime deals with one topic and its sub-topics: Endurance. In the beginning, themes are shown such as hardships and what it is to suffer and how different people with different personalities cope with it. One cannot find happiness unless one is prepared to endure the pain that is needed to achieve it. The main character, Shu, is unexpectedly struck with pain and hardships, but he handles each situation wisely, perhaps without fault. This means that he is clinging onto the little hope that he sees, which is what this whole anime is all about. Shu is enduring every single moment of his new life that was forced onto him, he is moving forward and he does not give up or give in to what is wrong. This is important because it is something evident in real life or even an example of how one should be in their life. The whole world can be wrong, ugly, and utterly selfish, but if there is even an atom of hope left, then one should grab it and hold it tight, because someday things will get better.

This is all how I can describe this anime. I did not want to drag the review and explain every single aspect in detail, because that would only spoil the mood of the show and keep you from experiencing it yourself, wouldn't it?
