This story has a very Slice of Life vibe to it. I would have appreciated that more if it had started up quicker or if any of the stories were particularly interesting. Unfortunately, it starts slow and only has two major stories to liven up the action. The first is an encounter with some boys who are envious of Heiji and Conan's popularity in the aftermath of Movie 14. The riddles they solve are very Japan-centric and not something even a Japanese person would be able to put together so quickly. That's often the case in Conan stories where the runtime is short, but it really grated on me this time. Especially the one involving the mirror.
The second major story is about a lost baby. It's related to the Tale of Genji and a misunderstanding. Not interesting, although it lead to a good moment between Kazuha and Heiji that was the highlight of the episode.
There's a piano melody montage in the middle with a pleasant song. Not something I would seek out, but it was nice.
This Magic File is not something you should seek out unless you are a completionist, and it was just boring.
