In terms of originality, this anime seems to be lacking. I personally wouldn't know because this happens to be the fourth full anime I've watched (other being 'Chuunibyo demo Koi ga Shitai,' 'Boku no Hero Academia,' and 'Sword Art Online.'
This feels like a 'Charlie Brown' of Anime. For those of you who've read the old Charlie Brown comic strips or perhaps watched one of the several movies that have come out over the decades, you'll see the connection.
This anime was probably not trying to go for too much originality, the synopsis was literally, "My step-sister, with whom I live alone, is a shut-in and apparently we work together in the Light-Novel industry" + Romance.
If you don't like that, don't watch it.
Also it's a Rom-Com, idk how many people enjoy that sort of thing, but I do, so take that.
Take my review with a grain of salt because as I've said before, I've only watched a few anime. (And I enjoyed SAO for crying out loud) So, I might revisit this in a year or so when I've watched more.
After rewatching, I'm really excited for a season 2!
