Definitely, among the best anime I've watched. At this moment, one of the four titles that I've rated 10/10. And it might be because the other version (not Brotherhood) was so bad compared to this and influenced my opinion, who knows. Still, I'm not gonna change my opinion. This is a classic and it is worth watching. Whether you want to watch the other one is your own choice, you don't have to, but at least then you'll know how things went downhill in the second half, totally ruined the ending, sudden cut. Here, we get a lot more (sub)plot, characters, action, logic... Everything.

The magic/supernatural/powers genres are definitely my favourite so if you like them too, give it a try. Well, on the other hand, if you like it I'd be surprised if you already didn't watch it. The overall plot is always what I appreciate the most, I hate when things are boring and I can't watch episodes anymore. Thank heavens, it's quite long but imanaging to be nteresting the whole time. Also, some very iconic soundtracks. Not hating on the art style, since everyone gets used to what they see after some time, it's old, but not bad. The most important is overall enjoyment and yes, I did enjoy it.

tldr; Watch this classic, it's one of the highest rated ones not without a reason.
