Story- 6: Panty and stocking follow's, well panty and stocking, two angels that are stuck on earth and have to find their way back to heaven by defeating monsters. Now the story is pretty good up until the ending which is a cliffhanger: now this has aged poorly but I'm willing to forgive it because back in 2010 GAINAX most likely thought this show would get a second season, which it has not, or may never, or it's supposed to be a parody but who knows, the point is it's forgivable considering the circumstances. NOW (I'm censoring the spoiler stuff by saying SPOILER if you've seen the show you know what I'm talking) SPOILER actually being a demon, that's when I call bullshit. SPOILER never showed any sense that it was a demon, and it comes completely out of the left-field, why would SPOILER kill demons if SPOILER was one, it goes unexplained and idk that whole thing is bullshit, but yeah I guess the plots decent
Art- 10: The art is pretty much designed to always be stylized and outstanding. All the character designs are all great, especially panty and stocking. Both are instantly recognizable at a glance, which I can't say is true for the vast majority of other anime character designs. The show uses flash animation sometimes when the budget gets low, but its barely noticeable, and still looks good. However, the animation gets REALLY REALLY REALLY good especially in a lot of the action scenes. The art of the show always looks good and never is bad, its never even mediocre, so a 10 I give
Sound-- 8: The soundtrack for the show is great, enough said. It's vibrant and unique and fits tonally perfect. The ending is great too, being sweet and enduring, unlike everything else in the show. The sound design itself is pretty good, so why the 8? I don't really like the op, yeah I said it. its only 30 seconds, and it's just not interesting for me, so I gotta knock off some points for that
Character- 9: okay the show is almost flawless minus one little problem: briefers. I like him in the finale, but besides that, I don't really particularly like him. His design kinda pisses me off for some reason even tho its good, but idk: I never liked him really, literally all the other characters make up for him and more, but he's just okay. Now: I love pretty much everyone else. STOCKING IS MY NEW WAITU EVEN THO IM A SKINNY FUCK WTF IS HAPPENING TO ME, my favorite character in the show even with her shitty relationship thing and the other thing: She seems like a typical goth girl judging by her design which is great btw and her room, but she flips the script entirely by being a food eating asshole, I know so much better, but just watch the show. Panty'sa also great and her being the most basic white bitch is funny, garter belt is great and his backstory cracked me up, all the villains are unique in their own way, the show's characters are great fuck you
Enjoyment- 8: I really like panting and stocking. enough said
Overall- 8: the shows far from perfect, but I had a very good time with it, honestly if It weren't for SPOILER's thing this might be a 9
