Okay, so, I wasn't too sure about this show; particularly because of all the negative reviews it has. I have to say that I can understand their points and why they don't like it.. however, I quite enjoyed it.
I'm not giving this a 9 because of the plot or anything, I rate based on my enjoyment. And I actually had a good time while watching this, even though it may have a predictable story and etc.
It's hard for me to actually like all the characters in an anime show. It's also hard for me to like the romance genre. This was an exception. I was just a couple of episodes in and I found myself caring about them a lot. Also, rooting for Zero Two and Hiro's relationship, as well as the rest of the group's friendship, and all that. I didn't pay much attention to the plot and worldbuilding. This was purely character-driven to me.
So, this is why I'm giving the show a 9 (: I hope you can understand my point of view; and I hope I find more characters who I can connect and get attached to in the future.
