Mixed Feelings
Bishounenized desecration of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland: The happily(?) ever after boogaloo.

Wonderful Twin World is an odd one. Out of all the QuinRose Alice manga, it is the only one (so far) which shows the "end game" of a relationship - a married life. It also has more cutesy art, the tone is more comedic and on whole it is way more "wholesome", if that's even the right word to use. What I’m trying to say is - Wonderful Twin World shows us that the Wonderful Wonder World can very much be sustainable without the unnecessary edginess. The murderous psychopathy (from an outsider's point of view) is kept to minimum and the story actually doesn't lose anything by that. It has its sweet parts and doesn't keep reminding you that nobody sane ever would consider the cast anywhere close to a boyfriend material. It does have its weird part, yes, but this time the "weirdness" isn't just "hurr durr people don't care about killing others, so quirky xd". The potential of the Wonderland setting is still criminally underused, but we might be getting there.

It's a refreshing change of pace and while it doesn't exactly excel, it's still not a bad read.
