I wrote a review for My Hero Season 4 back when it first aired its first few episodes and gave it an 8 out of self spite. Now that we have reached the conclusion I thought that I would update this review for all 25 episodes.

My Hero Season 4 is a curveball. I think for the most part we can all agree that this was probably the weakest season to date so far. Yet for some reason looking back at it, it has some pretty damn good moments. Which makes me question why I didn't like it. Deku vs Overhaul and Endeavor are the bright spots that make this season any less than a 7. I think the reason I dislike it is because the previous seasons was mostly based around the class and their interactions with situations. However in Season 4, Bakugo and Todoroki were merely subplots rather the main characters. This season was hyped up to the max from manga readers and after finishing it, im a little disappointed.

Story : 8
The beginning to this Season was the dreaded Overhaul Arc. An arc that was framed from the manga readers to be Dark, Grueling and Awesome. Now it was all those but merely with lowercase letters. My main gripe with the arc was the lack of a good villain Overhaul was. I wanted him to be a Shigaraki (Long Time Villain) but instead they made him an arc villain and from what i've heard from manga readers he hasn't been mentioned since. Honestly, I'm pretty sure he was only made just so Deku could use 100% on someone. Throw in a plague mask and a cool character design and give him a villain motive. Then let Deku pound him to the ground while Bones does it's thing. Overall, my score for the arc is: Lazy. Next up we have the "should be filler but isn't" School Festival Arc. Once again manga readers overhyped Gentle and La Brava who ended up being subpar as well. I wish they put more time in the actual School Festival. Instead it felt like Gentle vs Deku was the main course and the School Festival was just filler to get to it. My score for that was: Boring.

Art: 9
Bones doing what they do best. Animation was top damn notch this Season and I hope Bones keeps at it next Season

Sound: 8
Nothing to complain about here either, everything matched up and felt smooth throughout.

Characters: 7
Once again as I said in the beginning. This season was largely based on Deku and The Big 3. Now, I have an unpopular opinion about the Big 3 and that is that I don't think they were necessary for the story nor do I like them that much. Mirio is ok but sort of stale, and I already forgot the names of the other 2. It's not that the characters were bad this season it's just they focused on characters I didn't particularly enjoy watching. However, Hawks/Endeavor was eye candy and I love both of them. I like the direction Endeavor is going in but I wanted more of 1A which they barely gave during the School Festival.

Enjoyment: 5
The course of this Season was being hyped up for moments and being disappointed time and time again. Only Endeavors fight at the end actually gave me goosebumps. Other than that this season really doesn't have a ton to offer. Overhaul Arc was overrated and the School Festival was borderline filler. If it wasn't for them actually setting up Season 5 pretty damn well I would have considered a 6 for this season. Its sad too. I have Season 2 and 3 both 9's and here Season 4 sits at an average 7.

Overall: 7
I've said what I needed to and TL:DR: This was a disappointing, overrated season that made up in a few areas. I'm hyped for Season 5 but dang, this is not what I was hoping for.
