I love romance animes and they always interest me but this anime had romance and drama not to mention action. The creativity for this story is very unique and even though the battles were predictable, there was a lot of cliff hangers and "what ifs?"
Sure I got confused in the beginning but throughout the anime it was starting to make sense. It was like a dystopia but not visibly just showing that kind of world. Like the government hiding things and putting these people to do things for them. And the kids think they are doing it for the better but that might not be the only answer.
These children (i think they were), were clueless. And thats because of all of the coverups and lies. But this one person wanted to be the savoir. And he met a girl who unleashed that opportunity out of him. There were so many obstacles but they always found a solution which I loved. Lightly touching the subject that 'anything is possible'.
They didn't know about things and just wanted to save people and be adults. But throughout the anime, the adults really did leave them for clues so they could solve this problem. I find it strange that they didn't try to cover up their lies a bit better but its fine. The fact that these adults can't feel emotions is also very interesting. The story unfolds later which I enjoy because many animes just leave the audience in the dark. For instance showing the backstory and how everything happened (not just it being told by someone BUT VISIBLY how it happened) It showed that each battle they had and whether it was a solution or a downfall, there was always a different one each time. it was like oh hes just good and skilled so he wins. No. It was more like that happened but the next battle someone saved them. And the next battle was something different.
This anime had such interesting characters, love interests and things that weren't really expected. The ending did made me cry so (spoiler lol). I find this story unique and the characters are so different from what I expected. (Not to mention i thought these kids were 16 but i think they were like 13), this story is just remarkable and I highly recommend it.
