“Justice cannot save the world. It’s useless.” – Kiritsugu Emiya

This review covers both seasons of Fate/Zero.

🏆 10/10
Holy Grail War, a battle of 7 masters and 7 heroic spirits for a holy grail, fight until one winner is left to able to be granted one wish from the holy grail. Fate/Zero is dark, intense, and action-packed, essential for anyone who wishes to get into the Fate franchise.

🎬 Story - 10/10
Surprisingly well-composed and amazing storytelling, being dark, intense, and action-packed, giving off a real serious vibe, no comedic included.

🎨 Animation - 9/10
Indeed high-quality art, as you can expect from ufotable. This anime also contains graphic violence, meaning blood, which made the action scenes realistic.

🔈 Sound - 7/10
Fairly good theme songs, I feel pretty neutral towards them. As for soundtracks, I also consider them pretty average, but some of them are made very well, giving a hype feeling for epic moments.

🕶 Characters - 10/10
Seven masters, seven servants, meaning at least 14 characters are in the spotlight. Having this much character is kind of challenging, yet the storytelling nailed them all.

Almost every character worths remembering. Getting audiences to understand several aspects of characters is the key concept to good character building, every character is shown their motive and emotions, even audiences can understand a mad character, some of them are even shown their background, getting audiences to understand the characters even more.

Character design is dope, having both fancy-looking and normal-looking characters. Characters do have their own unique traits, so character confusion can hardly occur. Indicating that character design is a success.

🎉 Enjoyment - 10/10
Such dark, intense, and action-packed anime couldn’t enjoy me more than this. Everything is perfect. The first time I watched Fate/Zero, I was not a Fate fan yet, but I totally enjoyed and became a Fate fan. After completing other Fate anime and a rewatch of Fate/Zero, I could say that Fate/Zero is truly a masterpiece of the Fate franchise.

📌 Recommendations
If you are new and wanting to get into the Fate franchise, Fate/Zero is a good choice. You can also start at Fate/Stay Night (2006), which is the first Fate anime aired, or maybe if you are just looking for intense and serious action anime, then I also recommend this anime. Enjoy!
