I have to say this was one of my favorite animes I've watched in a long time, absolutely wonderful and memorable one.

The animation is weird, and it can be both ugly and beautiful from one second to the next, without breaking any flow or sticking out. The animation might be a hard sell for some people, but the way it's use is definitely allows for both some fantastical and yet also realistic visuals. Blew me away at moments yet keeps things grounded for the more serious scenes.

The sound/music is absolutely wonderful, if I have to rate the soundtrack I would put it in my top 5 favorite anime soundtracks of all time. Everything about the soundtrack is perfect for the series, and I had some of the songs stuck in my head for the past few days since I've finished the series.

The characters are absolutely amazing, all of them coming together over the intensity and love of Ping Pong, or also what Ping Pong represents to them. I can't give away any of the plot, but I feel like almost every character was memorable in this series, or played a purpose in the plot.

Should also give a shout out to voice acting, honestly had some of the most amazing/naturalist voice acting I've seen from an anime. The characters are totally believable in delivering their lines, there's two characters who speaks both Japanese and Chinese and they nail both languages and the acting so wonderfully that I was amazed. What's painful is that apparently they and some of the other voice actors haven't gotten more roles in anime, they're clearly talented and amazing based off just the work they put into this series alone.

Overall, this series is a classic. I had been putting it off for so long before finally buckling down to finish it, and I don't regret it one bit.
