There's not really much to the main plot. It's pretty much a search and gather mission with a really good twist. the subplots however are on a completely different level and never do I feel cheated out of my time following them. Don't get me wrong. It's extremely well done.
Art - 8
Not what I wanted it to be from reading the manga. But let's not compare. It's a good style and they get the art just right for the comedy scenes.
Sound - 7
Not much here for music except the OP and ED themes, let's skip the Kanon songs...
OP - Really good and not the average Pop crap you get. The fully version is kind of meaninglessly long...
ED - Didn't feel like anything special at first but it's the song that grows on you. There are many versions to the full one and it's fun to try and explore the various takes of the same song.
Character - 9
The main character (Katsuragi Keima) is perfect for what it's trying to do. There's not much that you can dislike about him. He has just the right strengths and just the right weaknesses and is good at what he does which makes him a gaming badass.
His side kick (de Lute Irma Elsea AKA Elsie) is an amusing alien character who come from hell is new to the real world. She tries her best to serve her Divine One sometimes ending in good results, other results may vary.
the other Heroines are to be watched not to be read in a review. I can only say that there's four in all.
Enjoyment - 8
I was kinda peeved at some part of the series where there were too many scenes of just singing and nothing much happening. I wouldn't mind if the songs were exceptionally good but I'm sure that these are the type that grow on you, not the type you listen and go "Omg I must download that song" having one song sequence is alright, don't over do it like they kind of did here. (the last one for the finale of the arc was worth listening to mostly because it was the one to finish the story with, it's also a soothing slow song)
Overall - 9
Kickass and i expected nothing less. I'm pumped up for the second season.
