This show is a walking meme, it somehow manages to maintain an interesting story line yet still criitcize the isekai genre. It utilises overused elements to instill comedy in its episodes so much you can almost tell exactly what series it inherits it. might just be me but there are so many underrated dialogue in this series that poke fun at past series cliche elements.

The overexagerated facial expressions, cold one liners,
slow mental processing is an interesting mix with
this isekai but it isn't uncommon. What makes this
series great is the fact that it feels the series
is shadows other popular isekai and blatantly
criticizesthem.

We can see through the overrused medium of a goddess
that summons a hero into a world in order to save the people
that dwell in the world. We are also shown that the character
levels up extremely fast or pulls levels out of his ass
and defeats 'powerful' enemies. I can think of many series
this aims to criticize: Danmachi, Shield Hero,
maoyu ~ archenemy & Hero, demon lord retry!, how not to
summon a demonlord, the devil is a part timer etc.
Hell, they even used the same style as konosuba

I have a feeling that the community may not understand
the type of series this aims to be considering the
isekai genre is frowned upon completely by many
older members of the community.

in episode 4, we see that Seiya is challenging a lower
level who thinks Seiya is underestimating them. This is
literally half of the fantasy/action series in a nutshell,
the character challenging Seiya could be a kid character
like Asta (Black Clover) or Dekku (Myhero) because of the
childish behaviour and art style they represented them with.
They are singlehandedly criticizing the shounen genre,
now this is comedy.

Seiya says: "How much will you give me" for defending the
city; and then goes on to say "I learned a new special
move recently". This is literally half of the Shield Hero
franchise summed up in 2 pieces of dialogue. Seriously
everyone's sleeping on this comedy.

"organic mushroom from namaste village" sums up many shounen
series involving the MC coming from a broken down village
to a large city similar to: Blue exorcist, Black Clover
etc. This is mad comedy...

"No way he doesn't need me, a goddess" literally talks down
on Aqua. I'm not sure if this is exactly the meaning for
the line but it can be adapted to Konosuba.
Also says "lousy non team player self centered hero"
pretty funny line could mean half of the isekai series
since every MC is overpowered

"I only have 13,500 of my original 15,000 MP left"
reminds me of sword art online when Kirito learns that
he has high HP/MP...

Episode 4, "please take me on as an apprentice" literally
sums up many MMORPG series. Log Horizon included

ep 6: "you don't know about slimes, but you know about
nurikabe?" says Rista... direct reference to iskei
slime
