Sore Wa Tabun Itoshii Tte Koto is a story of two ex high-school classmates who unexpectedly reunited due to a very awkward incident.
From the start, Ino and Kumagaya knew that they were different and were bad at dealing with each other. But because of unanticipated turn of events, they became involved in each other's lives. Thus, awakening of their past, regrets and disappointments begun.
We’ve all heard the saying “opposites attract. " And despite the differences of the two main characters, their pasts brought them together as they both started to understand and face their own personal struggles.
This manga highlights the sentiments and circumstances of being a working adult. It also shows how the characters influence each other and help themselves in opening their eyes to different perspective and allowing them to see things in a different life.
I also like the realism of the plot and how the story was conveyed. It created a sense of connection between the characters and the readers. Some readers (like me) may find the story or characters strongly relatable.
The art is really amazing. Both characters look very manly, mature and good looking. The changes in their expressions were drawn in elaborate manner. And I really like the solo photos in the first part of every chapter.
Unlike other BL manga that focuses on fanservice and BL tropes, this manga focuses heavily on the plot. The story pacing is also good and it can be really seen in the whole volume how the two MC developed their feelings. This is a very good read for those people who's looking for a subjective BL manga with great plot and art.
