I thought Gangsta was cool. The story telling of the characters' backstories was a lot more all over the place than comfortable, but I kept up. At first the start giving you little pieces, and than suddenly flood you with stuff! And, a personal pet-pev, they introduced new characters at the very end. The opening and ending themes are entertaining, but thy didn't have a good range of tracks within the show. I feel like I hard same 3 songs repeatedly.

I just finished 2 terrible shows, so this was a huge cleanse for me! The characters are likable and relateble. They have disablites, mental health issues, and they change clothes! They have female characters that they actually care about and aren't just for filling any stereotypical roles. 2 main characters are sex workers, and they aren't as stereotypes in that way of being trashy. There's also a short but blunt address on the difference between how male sex workers are treated in comparison to female sex workers. This show addresses a lot of real life issues people don't like to talk about and would rather blind one to like racism, sex slavery, child slavery, segregation, and all things related to that. The dark themes made me appreciate how human this show is.

Unfortunately, the show ends on an inconclusive note. Maybe they ran out of budget, because the story was at the climax when it stopped, and there could have easily one or two more episodes to bring everything to a close. Maybe even a 1/30 hour movie special. I would like to see the end of this story.
