Have you ever been confessed by someone and thought it was a punishment game? Or how about the other way around?
Seikaku Kuzu De Nani Ga Warui which is translated as "What’s wrong with having a shit personality?" is about an isolated guy who has been suddenly confessed by a popular guy in their school. As the title suggests, the MC, Hanaura, is a self proclaimed trash who, throughout the chapters, tried his best to figure out the sincerity of Tsuzuki's confession and also to sort his own feelings.
A guy who wants or chooses to be alone x popular and likable guy seems to be a typical couple when it comes to BL manga. But I would like to point out that the personalities of the two main characters made the story interesting.
The pacing of the story is not that bad as it started with a confession and continues with the revelation of the feelings of the two MC. In my personal opinion, I prefer MORE scenes about Tsuzuki's past and would also like to know more about him as most of the chapters are in Hanaura's perspective.
In terms of the characters, I admire the character development of Hanaura and although he might be quite annoying at first, in the end, I learned to like him as he show his sentiments and honesty that made me understand and relate to him. Tsuzuki on the other hand, might be your typical popular nice guy but he has a charming and idiotic (lol) personality which is very irresistible.
The art is really good and detailed. The design for the two MC really suited their personalities. I also like how the facial expressions were drawn as it really shows their emotions and feelings that they want to convey.
In terms of enjoyment, I was still able to enjoy reading this although this isn't quite impactful and memorable than the other BL manga that I read. But if you would like to read some highschool BL romance, then why not try checking this out?
